St. Jude Ambulance – Career

St. Jude Ambulance strives to recruit and retain only individuals that meet our high standards. Applicants are put through a thorough screening process. Many positions require pre-employment testing. After a successful interview and a conditional job offer, criminal background checks are completed. The candidate must also undergo a pre-employment drug screen and a physical, if appropriate. Orientation includes, but is not limited to, the review of excellence in customer service, proper moving and lifting techniques, defensive and emergency driving skills, map reading and navigation, medical documentation skills, and OSHA blood borne pathogens. Competencies are confirmed by a return demonstration to the instructors before working in the field.
